When our lives are filled with darkness, how can we effectively sing songs in the night?
If you watch or read the news, you will know that the world is a darkening place. There is so much sorrow and suffering worldwide, and it is difficult to stay positive and to trust in the Lord when everything seems to be falling apart. There is darkness, a night-time shadow all over the world. But even in this troubled world we can still lift our prayers, hopes, and souls to Him who is everlasting light. No darkness can withstand the light that is Jesus. So how can we lift ourselves to Him? In this sermon featuring pastor Andreas Mellas, learn what true praise looks like and how we can effectively praise.
Have we stopped praising in the face of depression, repression, or difficulty? Consider how satan never rests. The devil is working ever harder because he knows his own destruction is near. If satan is waiting for our weakness and awaiting our vulnerable souls, we need to know how we can guard ourselves against him. Praise is a beautiful and useful way to protect ourselves and to invite our Heavenly Father and Provider into our lives. Mellas teaches us about the three M’s of praise and reminds us that despite all that has happened and all that is to come, we should still have songs in the night.
